Cobblers Restaurant Serves Up Expansion in Liberty
Diners rejoice! Sullivan County gained 60 more opportunities for a terrific dining experience. Cobblers Restaurant, on Liberty's Main Street, has been serving up lunch and dinner since 2001. But, owner, Michael Stoddard and his staff noticed last year that the hungry crowds were multiplying and they needed more space. Stoddard started to plan the renovation that added a 60-seat dining room, a spacious rear deck, and an entrance from the restaurant's parking lot.
On June 18, community leaders celebrated the opening of the addition with Stoddard at a ribbon cutting ceremony that was followed by a buffet and live music. President of the Greater Liberty Chamber of Commerce, Ron Gozza said, "Cobblers has helped Liberty become a destination for dining and spirits for people all over the county. This addition will definitely appeal to people looking for a nice night out."
The expansion means more than just more space. For diners, it brings many new meal choices. "Adding the new dining room really inspired us," Stoddard explained, "...we love making customers happy, so we have something delicious and exciting for everyone." Among the new items on Cobblers' menu are a Seafood Wrap with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat for lunch and, for dinner, the Southwestern Crusted Tilapia served with the restaurant's unique Mango Tequila Salsa. Also, for his vegan customers, Stoddard sought out and now serves a vegan teriyaki chicken, available in an Oriental Stir fry or a wrap. Every day, there are lunch and dinner specials, like Pot Roast Tuesday and Prime Rib most Friday nights.
Open seven days a week, Cobblers also caters events on and off-site. There's live music Saturday nights and special events just about every holiday. On www.cobblersrestaurant.com, visitors can print out coupons, peruse the new menu, and sign up for their "Daily Specials" e-mail. For more information, call 292-2970.
